Why Can’t I Hear People on Discord?

Why Can't I Hear People on Discord?
Assuming you would like tips on checking audio settings:

With so many different types of audio devices out there, it can be tough to know which one is right for you. Do you need a sound card? Is your motherboard good enough? What about external speakers or headphones? And then there are all the different settings…Should you have your volume up or down? Stereo or mono? Highs and lows tuned just so, or cranked all the way up? It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin!

Here are a few tips on how to check your audio settings:

1. The first thing you’ll want to do is identify what type of audio device you’re using. This will help determine which settings are available to you and where they’re located. For example, if you’re using built-in speakers on your computer, you’ll likely find the relevant settings in your Sound Control Panel. If you’re using an external sound system, such as a home theater receiver, thesettings may be located on the device itself or in its accompanying software.
2. Once you know where the settings are located, take a look at each one and experiment with what sounds best to you. Most people prefer to keep their volume at around 80%, but this will vary depending on personal preference and the specific audio source material. As for other settings like stereo vs mono or highs/lows frequencies, again it comes down to what sounds best to YOU. There’s no magic formula that works for everyone across the board – it’s all about trial and error until you find that perfect balance!
3. One final tip: when adjusting any kind of EQ setting (i.,e., changing levels of bass, treble, etc.), always do so gradually rather than making drastic changes all at once. Our ears can adjust quicklyto slight alterations but large ones can often jar us and cause discomfort.

Check your push to talk key

If you’re using push to talk on your mobile phone, it’s important to check your key before you start talking. Otherwise, you may end up broadcasting your conversation to everyone around you.

To check your push to talk key, simply press and hold the button for a few seconds. You should hear a beep or tone that indicates the activation of the feature. If you don’t hear anything, try pressing and holding the button again for a longer period of time. Once you’ve confirmed that the feature is activated, release the button and begin speaking normally into the phone.

It’s also a good idea to test out your push to talk key in different environments before relying on it in an emergency situation. For example, if you’re going to be using push to talk while driving, make sure that you can still activate the feature while wearing gloves or with one hand on the steering wheel.

Check your input device

Your input device is the piece of computer hardware you use to enter data and commands into a computer. Common input devices include keyboards, mice, trackballs, scanners, digital cameras, joysticks, and microphones.

One way to determine whether your input device is working properly is to test it in Device Manager. In Windows 10, type device manager in the search box on the taskbar and select Device Manager from the results. If you don’t see an entry for your input device under Devices by connection or Devices by type, it might not be installed correctly or might need updated drivers.

If your keyboard isn’t responding at all, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. If that doesn’t work, connect another known-good keyboard to your computer using a USB port or PS/2 connector (if available) and see if that fixes the problem. If none of these troubleshooting steps help, you might need to replace your keyboard.

Is Discord picking up the wrong input?

If you’re using Discord and notice that it’s picking up the wrong input from your microphone, there are a few things you can do to fix the issue.

First, make sure that your microphone is properly plugged into your computer. If it’s not, plug it in and try again.

If your microphone is plugged in but Discord still isn’t picking up the right input, open the Voice & Video settings tab in your Discord user settings. Under the Input Device drop-down menu, select the correct device for your microphone.

You may also need to adjust your input sensitivity. To do this, click on the Advanced Settings cog at the bottom of the Voice & Video settings tab. Then, move the Input Sensitivity slider until you find a comfortable setting. Be sure to test out your microphone after making any changes to these settings.

If none of these solutions work, there may be something wrong with your hardware or software. Try restarting discord or reinstalling it altogether. You could also try using a different voice chat program like Skype or Google Hangouts if possible

Try restarting Discord

Discord is a chat app with a following of millions of users. It’s simple to use and can be accessed on any device. However, like any other app, Discord can sometimes run into problems. If you’re having trouble with Discord, one thing you can try is restarting the app. This can often fix minor issues and get things back up and running smoothly. Here’s how to restart Discord:

1) On your device, close the Discord app completely.
2) Next, reopen the app and log back in.
3) Once you’re logged in, check to see if the issue persists. If it does, move onto the next troubleshooting step. But if restarting fixed the problem, great! You can now go back to chatting with your friends on Discord.
