How to Make a Rules Channel in Discord?
Discord is a voice and text chat app designed for gamers that lets you easily find, join, and chat with friends. You can also set up a rules channel in Discord to help keep your server organized and tidy. Here’s how:

1) On the left-hand side of the Discord client, click the + icon next to Channels. This will open a new window where you can add a channel.
2) In the Name field, enter Rules. Then, in the Topic field, write something like Welcome to our server! Please take a moment to read our rules.
3) Now, under the Category drop-down menu, select which category you want this channel to be placed in. For example, if your server has separate channels for different games, you might want to put it in the appropriate game’s category.
4) Next, scroll down and check off the following options: (√) Read Messages, (√) Send Messages, (√) Manage Messages, and (√ – forcing all users to see this content) If there are other options that you want enabled or disabled for this channel specifically (such as audio or video), feel free to enable/disable those as well.
5( Finally), click on the blue Create Channel button at the bottom of the page. That’s it! Your new rules channel should now be visible on your server

How to Use a Rules Channel in Discord

Assuming you already have a Discord server set up, the first thing you need to do is head to the Server Settings tab (it’s the one that looks like a cog). Once there, simply navigate to the Channel Rules option and press Serial Key . You can also add a short description for your rules if you want.

Now that you’ve created your channelrules.txt file, it’s time to actually start adding some rules! There are two ways to do this: via the template or directly through code. Both methods will accomplish the same goal, so feel free to use whichever one you’re more comfortable with.

If using the template, simply copy/paste it into your channelrules.txt file and fill in each field as desired. Be sure not break any ofDiscord’s formatting guidelines while doing so or your rules may not display properly once imported into Discord. An example template can be found below:

templates:Template1|text:Rule 1 – This is my first rule!; Template 2|text:Rule 2 – And this is my second rule!;“`

Alternatively, if you know how to code or just prefer doing things that way, you can also add your rules directly into channelrules.txt without using the template at all. Just make sure each rule is on its own line and formatted like so: “`@“`. Here’s an example:
[email protected] spamming in chat.;[email protected] respectful towards other members.;[email protected] discussion PG-13.;[email protected]’s about it for now…;[email protected] fun!;
